Lunatic Red is a turn-based RPG made by Aki (that’s me!) in RPG Maker VX Ace! This short demo contains about 2-3 hours of gameplay (depends on how fast you read) about a girl named Pandora and her friends! Fight monsters! Get treasure! And, uh, maybe there’s some Lunarians involved? Or maybe not? You’ll just have to see for yourself!

Pandora Selene

A skilled adventurer, and the main character. She is the newest member of the guild Lunatic Red. Thanks to her unusual hair color and her natural talent with guns, some have taken to calling her the “Silver Sniper”. Though her quiet disposition can make her seem as mysterious as the moon, she will not hesitate to lend a helping hand to others. Scared of men, but is even more scared of fire.

Class: Gunslinger
Armed with a gun in each hand, she showers her foes in a hail of bullets, leaving destruction in her wake. Has high Attack and Agility.

Hina Marina
Age: 20
Birthday: 9/22
Species: Human
Height: 167 cm
Likes: Singing, Pandora
Dislikes: Being stared at, people who mistreat Pandora

A trans girl, and a traveling songstress. She and Pandora are childhood friends; while they were separated for a time, they were recently reunited, and are now closer than ever. Her cheery disposition is as bright as the sun, and she loves to sing. She is very fond of Pandora, and doesn’t forgive those who hurt her. Uses a legendary weapon called the Rainbow Blade.

Class: Songstress
A hybrid supporter and attacker, she holds mastery over both the power of song and the path of the blade.

Merry Holiday
Age: 19

Species: Magus (Harbinger)
Height: 178 cm
Likes: Healing people, eating sweets
Dislikes: Rude people, dogs

A Magus — in short, someone born with the gift of magic. She belongs to the “Harbinger” tribe of Magi, and her right arm is that of a skeleton. She leads the guild Lunatic Red, and often serves as the voice of reason among the group. Her tall height and skeletal arm are unnerving to others, but she is a truly caring person. However, she is terrified of dogs.

Class: Harbinger
Master over both life and death; she uses healing magic to keep the party going strong, and uses her scythe to inflict status ailments on her foes.

Clover Heart
Age: 20
Birthday: 4/4
Species: Magus (Cyclops)
Height: 152 cm
Likes: Being spoiled, guys, her friends
Dislikes: Being dumped, herself

A Cyclops Magus, and a member of Lunatic Red. She and Merry are close friends. Though bright and often positive, she can also be temperamental. Desperately seeking a boyfriend — preferably one with a lot of disposable income — but somehow, every relationship she’s in seems to end disastrously. Though she seems flaky, she is fiercely loyal to her friends.

Class: Cyclops
A pure and simple magical powerhouse who calls upon the power of the elements. Blasts foes using beams from her eye.
